THE WHAT? Eternal Beauty has bought BNP Paribas and CITIC Securities on board as joint sponsors for its revived main board listing application. The beauty firm, which has exclusive licensing rights for some 60-odd global brands, first filed for an IPO last July.
THE DETAILS According to a report published by WWD, the beauty distributor reported revenue of RMB1.064 billion for the six-month period ended September 30, 2024, a rise of 14.2 percent. Profit increased 202.2 percent to RMB115 million.
THE WHY? WWD reports, quoting Eternal Beauty’s prospectus, that China’s perfume market has entered its ‘high-quality development stage’ and per capita spending is predicted to grow at an average CAGR of 14 percent up to 2027. The funds raised via the listing will help Eternal Beauty expand its Perfume Box concept store.
