Alix Earle’s Boyfriend Braxton Berrios Signs $2 Million Contract With Houston Texans—What Does This Mean for His $2.7 Million Miami Home?

TikTok influencer Alix Earle‘s NFL star boyfriend, Braxton Berrios, has signed a one-year $2 million contract with the Houston Texans after two seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

Berrios, 29, allowed his social media star girlfriend to break the news on her TikTok account, where she voiced her pride at her partner’s latest NFL milestone—which will see him leaving behind life in Miami in favor of settling down in Texas.

According to ESPN, Berrios signed his contract with the Texans in the first few minutes of free agency, which allows certain players to sign with any team.

It marks a major step, not only in the athlete’s career, but also in his two-year relationship with Earle. Both the football player and the influencer graduated from the University of Miami, and have been based in the Florida city for several years now.

While they do not officially live together, Earle, 24, regularly shares videos of the two of them spending time together in their homes—recently revealing that she had moved in with Berrios temporarily while they were fostering a dog.

For Berrios, home is a $2.7 million property in Brickell, which he purchased in 2023, the same year that he signed with the Dolphins. Earle currently lives in an apartment that she shares with a friend.

While Earle was quick to gush about Berrios’ new contract online, she has yet to address whether she will relocate to the Lone Star State when he moves this summer. She also did not reveal whether the pair will keep their respective properties in the Sunshine State.

Last season, Berrios was working as a kickoff and punt returner before tearing his ACL during the Miami Dolphins’ game against the Indianapolis Colts. The injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season.

Given that Berrios has signed only a one-year deal with the Texans, he may well hold on to his Miami home to maintain a home base in the city if his girlfriend continues to reside there.

The 4,011-square-foot mansion boasts six bedrooms and six bathrooms.

It also features a resort-style swimming pool, a pool table, and a chef’s kitchen.

The home, which was built in 1938, is surrounded by lush landscaping and effortlessly blends a coastal aesthetic with sophistication.

The property also features a patio with a grilling station, making it a great place for the athlete to entertain his teammates.

Before playing for the Miami Dolphins, Berrios spent four seasons with the New York Jets.

Following the confirmation of his team switch, Earle took to the video-sharing platform to congratulate her partner on his career update.

She shared a video of herself on FaceTime with Berrios.

“Braxton got the call today he will be playing for the Houston Texans this next year. So incredibly proud and can’t wait to see what this next year brings,” she said.

Earle—who lives in a luxury apartment in Midtown Miami—and the NFL star began dating in 2023, with their relationship initially causing a stir as a result of claims made by Berrios’ ex, Sophia Culpo, who alleged that he had cheated on her with his new girlfriend.

Earle and Berrios denied the rumors and initially kept their romance under wraps in order for the scrutiny to blow over before they continued flaunting their picture-perfect relationship on social media.

Much of their content revolves around their life in Miami, where they regularly appear at major events, with Earle cheering on her boyfriend’s team at a number of games during the season, before his injury took him out.

They are also seasoned travelers and have jetted off on multiple trips together during their two-year relationship, including visits to Europe, as well as other locations in the U.S.

Although Earle has yet to reveal how her boyfriend’s career update might affect her own plans for the future, Berrios can rest assured that she is no stranger to traveling—with the influencer even revealing at the end of 2024 that she had leased a second apartment in Los Angeles in order to ensure she had somewhere to stay while making frequent trips to the city for work.
