Transforming load securement

Loadhog introduces the HE Lid II, a next-generation Half Euro Pallet Lid that redefines operational efficiency, sustainability, and user convenience. Designed for the evolving demands of sectors like retail non-food, parcel distribution, and logistics, the HE Lid II delivers innovative solutions that enhance load security, waste reduction, and transport optimisation.

The HE Lid II builds on the success of the existing Loadhog Pallet Lid product, integrating cutting-edge features that set a new standard in pallet security.

At the core of the Pallet Lid is the new Cassette Gen III, a major improvement that delivers greater speed, durability, and intuitive operation. This feature ensures a longer lifespan and more reliable performance, streamlining workflows for users. The lid itself is impressively lightweight, weighing under 5 kg, which allows for ergonomic handling at heights of up to 1.8 metres. Despite its reduced weight, the addition of a concentric rib structure ensures that durability is uncompromised, making it ideal for demanding environments where efficiency and safety is key.

Compatibility has been thoughtfully addressed in the design. The HE Lid II is compatible with previous models, offering existing customers the option to have a mixed pool. It also introduces features like recessed areas for double stacking with Loadhog’s Dolly Max, optimising space use in transport and storage.

The lid’s 800 x 600 mm footprint enables four units to fit across most hard-sided HGVs, significantly improving vehicle fill compared to bulkier alternatives like roll cages. This design not only maximises transport efficiency but also translates into considerable cost savings, making it an asset for businesses seeking to optimise their supply chains.

Sustainability is another highlight of the HE Lid II. Manufactured from 70% recycled plastic, it eliminates the need for stretch wrap and single-use packaging materials, reducing environmental impact while maintaining exceptional performance. Its serviceability further reinforces this eco-friendly approach, with removable, recyclable cassettes that extend the product’s lifespan and support a circular economy.

Load securement has never been easier. The HE Lid II enables users to secure loads in just 10 seconds, a significant improvement over the 2-3 minutes required for stretch wrap machines. This efficiency eliminates downtime and prevents issues like banding or stretch wrap entanglement in Dolly units. Combined with its compact and manoeuvrable design, the HE Lid II ensures a streamlined, waste-free process for load handling, particularly in confined spaces where traditional systems might struggle.
