THE WHAT? Persan has announced that it has signed an agreement with Migros to acquire the Mibelle Group. Together, the two companies will become one of the world’s largest contract manufacturing and private label players with a €1 billion turnover.
THE DETAILS Under the terms of the deal, Persan will takeover Mibelle’s facilities in Switzerland, France, the UK, Netherlands, US and Australia as well as all employees. Financial terms were not disclosed.
THE WHY? Persán’s CEO, Antonio Somé, explains, “We are very pleased to announce this agreement with Migros that will help Persán to strengthen its international presence. The acquisition of the Mibelle Group will allow us to access new technologically advanced categories and continue to develop innovative and high-quality products for all our customers.
“In this new phase, we will maintain the hallmarks that have brought us this far: a commitment to people, innovation, technology and sustainability. We look forward to exploring the opportunities that this historic step will bring.”
