THE WHAT? L’Oréal plans to more than double its business in India within the next few years, according to CEO Nicolas Hieronimus.
THE DETAILS Calling India a “strategic market,” Hieronimus said the company will expand production at local factories, which currently manufacture 95% of products sold in the country and export to the Gulf region. L’Oréal India produces half a billion units annually and markets brands including L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Maybelline, Kérastase, and CeraVe.
THE WHY? Fueled by rising consumer demand and export opportunities, India is now one of the world’s fastest-growing beauty markets and a key pillar in L’Oréal’s global growth strategy.
