Dutch labour productivity declines for second year in 2024

The Dutch economy grew by one per cent in 2024, driven by a rise in total hours worked, despite a decline in labour productivity. Growth was supported by higher government spending, increased household consumption and income, and a rebound in exports. Manufacturing contracted again. Overall, the Netherlands’ growth matched the EU average in 2024.
