Casale & ATOME ink deal for world’s first green fertiliser plant
Casale has signed a $465 million EPC contract with ATOME PLC for the world’s first green fertiliser plant in Villeta, Paraguay. Using 100 per cent renewable energy, the plant will produce 260,000 tonnes of zero-carbon fertiliser annually, aiming to start production in 2028. The $625 million project marks a major step in decarbonising agriculture in the Mercosur region.
