Braskem Siam & Mitr Phol partner for Asia’s first bio-ethylene plant
Braskem Siam, a JV of SCGC and Braskem, signed an LOI with Mitr Phol Bio Fuel to supply ethanol for bio-ethylene production. The planned 200,000-ton plant in Thailand, set for 2027, will produce bio-based polyethylene with a negative carbon footprint. The collaboration boosts Thailand's ethanol value chain and promotes a low-carbon society, aligning with global sustainability goals.
