Gold Nanoclusters
Lung injury, marked by oxidative stress and inflammation, lacks effective treatments to date. The molecular gold nanoclusters (Au NCs) are constructed with enhanced antioxidative and enzyme-like activities. The Au NCs restore lung function in acute and chronic pneumonia via modulation of oxidative stress, immunomodulation and mitochondrial protection, guarding lung health like the Loong, a Chinese auspicious animal.
