US textile & apparel import volume up 15% in 2024, export volume drop
In 2024, the volume of textile and apparel imports by the US increased by 15.23 per cent, reaching 106,636.793 million square metre equivalents. However, export volume dropped by 2.15 per cent to 2,149.686 million kg. This trend was influenced by a rise in apparel and non-apparel textile imports, whereas export volumes of all fibre types continued a downward trajectory.
