Uniqlo ramps up UK presence with new Birmingham and Glasgow stores

Uniqlo is set to expand its UK store portfolio with the launch of new stores in Glasgow, Birmingham, and Liverpool in 2025.

The Japanese fashion giant confirmed its highly anticipated Liverpool store will open on 24 April, with the Glasgow and Birmingham stores slated for autumn.

The Liverpool store, located at the Liverpool ONE shopping destination on Paradise Street, will span 1,430 sq m across two floors.

The retailer will offer its popular LifeWear collection across men, women, children and baby lines. This follows the success of the retailer’s recent regional openings, including its store in Edinburgh’s Princes Street.

Uniqlo UK COO Alessandro Dudech said : “As we continue to grow in the UK, we are proud to offer LifeWear to even more customers outside of London. Liverpool is a vibrant and thriving city, and we are thrilled to introduce our store to the local community at Liverpool ONE.”

    Uniqlo launches pop-up shop in Tate Modern

Alongside Liverpool opening, Uniqlo will expand its regional footprint with new stores in Glasgow and Birmingham.

The Glasgow store, located on Argyle Street in the heart of Scotland’s largest city, will offer 1,200sq m of retail space across three floors.

Meanwhile, the fashion retailer‘s first store in Birmingham, will be situated in the Bullring shopping centre, covering100 sq m of retail space across three floors.

Paul O’Brien, director of leasing & commercialisation at Hammerson, which manages the Bullring centre, said: “Uniqlo’s arrival in Birmingham reinforces the Bullring’s position as the leading retail destination in the region, offering international brands and first-class retail experiences to shoppers.”

The new openings will bring Uniqlo’s UK store count to 23 by the end of 2025.
