THE WHAT? Tate & Lyle has announced that Steve Foots, Chief Executive of specialty ingredients giant Croda International, will join its Board as a non-executive director. Foots will also serve on Tate & Lyle’s Remuneration and Nominations Committees, pending his election at the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 24 July.
THE DETAILS Foots has led Croda since 2012, following various senior positions since joining as a graduate trainee in 1990, including a presidency role for Croda Europe. Active in the chemicals sector, he also co-chairs the Chemistry Council, a joint Government-industry body in the UK. Meanwhile, Lars Frederiksen, an independent non-executive director, will retire from Tate & Lyle’s Board at the conclusion of the same AGM after serving nine years. David Hearn, Chair of Tate & Lyle, expressed enthusiasm about Foots’ strategic insight and commended Frederiksen’s contributions during his tenure.
