Supplier Spotlight. Stephanie Gentle of Beaverswood

Since 1984, we’ve been brightening industrial workplaces worldwide with clever, colourful, and innovative solutions that make organisation effortless, safety a given, and efficiency an easy part of the job – all with our usual Beaverswood® charm and quality.

Stephanie Gentle, Managing Director at Beaverswood® speaks to Warehouse & Logistics News.

What are your best-known products/solutions/services?

Beaverswood® is renowned for high-quality warehouse identification and visual management products.

Our core offerings include racking and shelving labels, aisle and bay markers, document display solutions, floor marking, weight load notices, and the award-winning racksack®. We’ve also expanded to include Modulean® shadow boards, the market-leading Rack Armour® upright racking protector, Brandsafe® barriers, and Anco storage solutions.

Resellers also make good use of our label installation service, which supports our in-house printing of bespoke barcode and racking labels.

Which industry sectors are your customers in, and which are growing fastest?

We sell through distribution, wholesale, and catalogue resellers, primarily in storage handling and industrial supplies. Growing segments include office and business supplies, as well as workwear and PPE suppliers. End users span warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, retail, office, and facilities management.

What are your most recent products and innovations?

Beaverswood® is the official manufacturer of Rack Armour®, the patented market leader in upright racking protection. Additionally, our Brandsafe® barriers now meet PAS13 standards, verified by TUV Nord. With this formidable safety range available from Beaverswood, we’re actively establishing exclusive partnerships with key distributors and resellers, who are able to provide a cost-effective and fully tested range of safety barriers and products. It gives our resellers the support they need to grow sales and support their margins, while providing brilliant pricing for their customers.

Recent innovations include a wide-gusset document holder and a new magnetic fixing for weight load signs. We also invested in a UV printer last year to meet growing demand for weight load signs and labels. Plus, we expanded the racksack® range with racksack® nano, a smaller racksack® designed for warehouse machinery.

What major trends are affecting your category, and how are you responding?

A key trend is the new waste legislation taking effect on March 31st, requiring businesses with 10+ employees to separate waste. This has driven unprecedented demand for racksack® – a simple, space-saving solution for compliance. Our foresight ensured we were prepared to meet this surge in demand through our resellers.

Can you share a recent customer success story?

In December, a long-standing reseller faced an urgent need for a bespoke label installation after being let down. We stepped in, printing the labels in-house and completing the installation within two weeks – just in time for the holidays. When urgent challenges arise, we support our distributors to ensure their success.

How does business in 2025 compare to previous years? What’s your strategy for success?

2025 has started strong. Our strategy remains simple: continue innovating, listen to customers, invest in reseller training and tools, and enhance our equipment to maintain high-quality production and service.

What’s the latest news from your company?

In a bit of light-hearted fun, we recently adopted three beavers at Drusillas Park. Their names are Jasper, Daggert, and Norbert – and we absolutely love them!

Are you making technical advances in safety, sustainability, or the environment?

We’re upgrading production processes with new equipment and improving our business systems to enhance customer experience and efficiency. These initiatives streamline operations and align with our commitment to sustainability and quality.

Are you investing in staff training and development?

As part of IWS Group, we offer e-learning and offsite development courses. In 2024, all staff completed at least five training courses. Our leadership teams are also undergoing a six-month development programme to strengthen management skills.
