Share of ASEAN in China's foreign trade rises to 16.6% in Q1 2025
The ASEAN bloc remained China's largest trading partner in Q1 2025, with total trade reaching $234.17 billion—a 7.1-per cent YoY rise and accounting for 16.6 per cent of China's overall foreign trade, official Chinese data show. Chinese exports to ASEAN countries rose by more than 20 per cent during Q1 2025, while imports from ASEAN that include textile raw materials also witnessed steady growth.
