Zeon & Yokohama boost bio-butadiene tech with new facility in Japan
Zeon Corporation and Yokohama Rubber will establish a bench facility at Zeon’s Tokuyama Plant to demonstrate high-efficiency butadiene production from plant-based ethanol. Set to start in 2026, the project supports NEDO’s Green Innovation Fund. Zeon will develop prototype rubber, while Yokohama Rubber will test tires, advancing sustainable materials for a circular economy and carbon neutrality.
