Select Fashion enters liquidation, 35 stores to close

Select Fashion has entered liquidation and will close all 35 of its remaining stores on 28 March.
The high street fashion retailer has appointed Michael Solomons and Andrew Pear of Moorfields as joint liquidators, filings show.
Select reportedly drafted in advisors last week to oversee the liquidation process, with “hundreds of staff” thought to be impacted by the move.
Select, which had previously operated 105 stores across the UK, closed 35 of its shops at the start of the year to further downsized its portfolio.
Its collapse comes shortly after high street fashion chain Quiz Clothing plunged into administration last month.
The retailer, which delisted from the London Stock Exchange at the start of the year, shuttered 23 of its stores and cut 200 jobs in a pre-pack administration deal.
