Philippines to set up e-com clearing system for goods imported online

The Philippine customs bureau recently set rules on cross-border e-commerce goods clearance procedures. The directive asks all stakeholders, including e-commerce operators, digital platform providers, e-retailers, value-added service providers, freight forwarders and customs brokers, to get accredited for such transactions. It is aligned with WCO guidelines and WTO Agreement on Trade Facilitation.
