Some children with peanut allergies may be able to build sustained tolerance by gradually introducing peanuts into their diets. A small trial showed that after ingesting increasing amounts of peanut butter over 2 months, all participants could eat about 9000 g, or 3 tbsp, without an allergic reaction.
