AB InBev's Super Bowl advert for Stella Artois featuring Matt Damon playing David Beckham’s brother has been hailed the “best of the night”.

The 60-second advert was aired in full yesterday during the Super Bowl LIX's half-time show and saw Hollywood actor Damon transformed into Beckham’s twin.
The advert begins with Beckham’s parents sitting with him in a British pub and confessing that he has a "long-lost brother in America" called "Other David".
Next, Beckham flies to America to meet his brother and, after sharing some bottles of Stella Artois beer and some Buffalo wings together, the movie star turns to Beckham and muses aloud: "My brother is a famous soccer player? So how famous are you? Like, Matt Damon famous?"
Beckham responds "Maybe Ben Affleck famous?"
"That’s a shame,” Damon replies.
The advert, directed by Ben Affleck, reportedly floored fans, with some being cited to have exclaimed: "Matt and David in the Super Bowl advert was just too funny guys! Work together more please!"
Others admitted: “I think the David Beckham and Matt Damon Stella Artois commercial was the funniest” and added that “the Stella Artois commercial with David Beckham and Matt Damon is the best commercial I’ve seen tonight."
Even a fan from the losing team the Chief's stated that “the Matt Damon and David Beckham commercial was the best part of the whole fiasco”.
Damon had also previously revealed his joy at making the advert with Beckham and,
reports revealed that when he spoke to reporters before the advert aired, he had said: "I’ve been partnering with Stella Artois for a decade now and get more excited with each year. I can’t wait to keep telling the story of ‘David and Dave’ all year and shedding light on those moments in life worth more, where meaningful connection means more than anything. The Beckham brothers are here to stay, and Stella Artois will be there with us at every moment."
Local reports additionally highlighted how Super Bowl halftime advertising is big business for drinks producers and noted how ahead of the big game, brands will “fight it out for the prime slot and the chance to reach over 100 million viewers in real-time”. To gain access to such an audience, a slot can purportedly cost up to US$8 million with the majority of the audience specifically tuning in for the entertainment as much as the game.
