Jollyes exec returns as B&Q marketing director
B&Q is welcoming back Jollyes exec Katherine Paterson as its new marketing director.

Former B&Q director and current Jollyes executive Katherine Paterson is returning to the home & DIY chain as its new marketing director.
Paterson most recently served as chief marketing officer of pet supplies company Jollyes, and has held a number of senior roles across both large corporate businesses and smaller companies backed by private equity.
The director began her career at Mars before moving into retail, initially at Asda as its head of format development.
Paterson went onto a brief stint as marketing director for B&Q from 2011 to 2012, before 12 years at Hobbycraft as its marketing and digital director.
Tom Hampson, who has covered the role on an interim basis since last July, will return to the position of director of marketing, reporting to Paterson alongside director of customer Lizzie Harris.
B&Q CEO Graham Bell said: “Following an extensive search, I’m delighted that Katherine Paterson will be joining B&Q as our new marketing director.
“One of our key strategic challenges is to encourage more people to shop with us in our stores and online.
“Katherine and the marketing team will be fundamental in continuing our progress here.”
Paterson said: “I’m hugely excited to return to B&Q and to have the opportunity to shape the continued success of this iconic British brand.
“I very much feel I have unfinished business following my short stint at B&Q over 12 years ago. The pace of change in recent years has been enormous and it’s a very different business to the one I left.”
She added: “I’m looking forward to joining such a strong team and to be working with Graham and the wider leadership to create a high-performance culture delivering even more success going forward.”
In July, B&Q appointed former Avon exec Joanna Gluzman as its new director of responsible business, bringing more than 25 years of experience across ESG and investor relations to the DIY retailer.
Gluzman most recently served as chief sustainability officer at FTSE 250 FMCG PZ Cussons, overseeing the sustainability strategy and implementation internationally.
