Bensons for Beds has poached Loaf director of operations Rob Pierce as its new chief operating officer.
Pierce will be responsible for the retailer’s logistics, customer service and post purchase customer experience.
He replaces Gavin Chappell, who has returned to Asda as its new vice president of supply chain.
During his time at Loaf, Pierce played a key role in its growth and led cross-functional teams, including warehouse, logistics, customer services, and quality.
Prior to that, he held several operational and customer roles at Rapha Racing Ltd and spent nine years at the John Lewis Partnership.
Bensons for Beds chief executive Nick Collard said: “I want to take the opportunity to welcome Rob to the business, and his deep customer centric operational experience will be a welcome addition to the team.
“I also want to express our deepest thanks to Gavin for his contribution over the last few years, where he has played a critical role in returning Bensons to the profitable and growing business it is today.”
Pierce added: “I have spent the last several years watching Bensons and looking on with admiration at the transformation that the business has gone through.
“To now have an active role in shaping the future of the brand and continue the great work that Nick and the team have started is really exciting.”
