Gymshark to open Manchester Trafford Centre store next month
Gymshark has confirmed the official opening date for its first standalone store in the North of England.

Gymshark will launch at Manchester’s Trafford Centre on Saturday, July 12 – marking its first standalone store in the North of England.
The 7,500 sq ft store, located on Upper Peel Avenue, will showcase the gymwear giant‘s signature ranges including Vital and Power, alongside exclusive products which it said will be only be available at the Trafford Centre location.
The new store carries the brand’s typical design style, featuring mannequins modelled on real community members, dedicated spaces for hero products, and bespoke lighting in the changing rooms.
The brand said the store reflects its ethos of “We Do Gym” throughout its design and layout.
This opening follows Gymshark’s recent launches at The Dubai Mall and Kalverstraat in Amsterdam — its first store on mainland Europe — and precedes the arrival of the retailer’s first US flagship later this year.
Gymshark general manager wholesale & retail Hannah Mercer said: “Since we announced that we were going to open a permanent store in Trafford Centre, back in September, I don’t think a day has gone by where someone hasn’t got in touch to ask me WHEN?
“It’s so great to be now able to reveal the date to such an engaged audience. It’s such an amazing time to be opening in the City, as it seems to be on absolute fire right now. Whether it’s the economic boom, the thriving fitness scene or even a couple of brothers coming back together, it is undoubtedly the place to be. I can’t wait for that ribbon to be cut.”
Kate Pearson, director at Pradera Lateral — the Trafford Centre’s asset manager — added: “As a homegrown British retail success story, Gymshark’s story is certainly one to be admired. We’re delighted to be opening the brand’s first standalone Northern store at Trafford Centre, especially at a time when our athleisure category is enjoying so much recognition and success.”
