THE WHAT? J-beauty brand Curel is set to debut on the German and French markets. The Kao-owned skin care line will hit pharmacy shelves as part of the company’s Win in Skin strategy.

THE DETAILS According to a report published by Inside Retail, the range designed for sensitive skin has an established following in the UK, having launched there in 2019.

THE WHY? Wendy Brown, Senior Director of Skin care Strategy and Revenue Growth Management, EMEA, told Inside Retail, “By choosing the pharmacy channel, we’re leveraging the specialist expertise needed for sensitive skin care, ensuring we connect with our target audience effectively. We’re confident that Curel will quickly establish itself as the go-to expert brand for sensitive skin across Europe, just as it has in Japan.”
