A Record-Breaking Edition with Over 255,000 Attendees from 150 Countries
March 23, 2025 – The 56th edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna has officially concluded, reaffirming its status as the world’s leading event for the global cosmetics industry. With more than 255,000 beauty professionals from 150 countries and 3,128 companies representing over 10,000 brands, Bologna once again became the global capital of beauty.
A Global Hub for Beauty Innovation and Business
Cosmoprof 2025 brought together key players from across the industry to seal new deals, exchange insights, and discover the latest trends and innovations. The exclusive Buyer Program, featuring networking and matchmaking tools, enabled professionals to maximize business opportunities. The event also included a robust program of educational sessions, live demos, training workshops, and special initiatives that enriched the attendee experience.

According to Euromonitor International, the global beauty industry is projected to exceed €612 billion in revenue by the end of 2025—reinforcing Cosmoprof’s position as a critical business partner for professionals worldwide.

The 56th edition featured:

- 29 country pavilions
- 78% international exhibitors
The redesigned layout allowed for the inclusion of new product categories, reflecting evolving market demands and trends.
Beauty: A Key Driver of Italy’s Export Economy
“Beauty is one of the driving forces behind Made in Italy exports,” said Matteo Zoppas, President of ITA.
In 2023, Italian beauty exports rose by over 20% compared to 2022, followed by another 11.4% growth in 2024. With €8.4 billion in exports, cosmetics account for over 40% of the sector’s total revenue, confirming their importance in stabilizing the national economy.
For 2025, ITA facilitated the participation of 220 buyers, operators, and key opinion leaders from 80 countries, ensuring high-value, targeted connections for Italian entrepreneurs.
A Strategic Partnership with Cosmetica Italia
“With €16.5 billion in revenue and a €4.7 billion trade surplus, the Italian cosmetic sector is among the fastest-growing in Made in Italy,” said Benedetto Lavino, President of Cosmetica Italia.
Cosmoprof showcased not only the sector’s economic strength but also its societal impact, with 400,000 professionals working across the supply chain. Strategic dialogue with government representatives helped spotlight the industry’s future needs and opportunities.
