THE WHAT? Unilever told fans of its Lynx Africa fragrance that the scent would be discontinued last week via social media channels but has since revealed that the post was a prank and in fact, the body spray has been relaunched with a snazzy new design.
THE DETAILS According to a report published by The Grocer, the new-look fragrance is rolling out across all formats and the body spray has been reformulated to last longer, while the anti perspirant now boasts ‘no white marks’ technology.
THE WHY? Josh Plimmer, Lynx Marketing Manager, told The Grocer, “Lynx Africa is not only the nation’s number one fragrance, it is also a reference point in British culture as a rite of passage for young guys. As a brand that is social by design, we are constantly listening to our audience and what is trending and having a bit of fun.”
