UK's clothing imports decline 6% to $1.7 bn in Jan 2025
UK’s clothing imports rose by 5.97 per cent year on year in January 2025 to £1.366 billion, with textile fabric imports also slightly up and fibre imports steady. Q4 2024 saw a 9.30 per cent rise in clothing imports compared to Q4 2023. However, total imports for 2024 declined by 7.06 per cent year on year, continuing a downward trend since 2022 across clothing, fabric, and fibre categories.
