The spotlight was on beauty innovation at Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2025, where the highly anticipated Cosmoprof & Cosmopack Awards unveiled this year’s standout finalists and winners. Held in collaboration with trend agency BeautyStreams, the competition honors the most groundbreaking advancements across the global cosmetics industry.

From smart packaging and sustainable solutions to next-gen formulas and devices, the awards celebrate creativity and forward-thinking across 17 diverse categories. More than 800 product submissions were reviewed by an international jury, including experts from BeautyStreams, to determine the finalists—now featured on the show floor and recognized with a special digital badge.

Spotlight on Packaging Innovation: FR & Partners Takes the Lead

One of this year’s standout achievements came from FR & Partners, which won in the Packaging Design & Materials category for its COMPlux compact—a refillable makeup case with built-in self-sanitizing technology. Using short-wave UV light (UVC), the compact sterilizes the applicator sponge, which is stored in a separate chamber. The compact is also USB-rechargeable and crafted from recyclable materials, exemplifying the fusion of sustainability and smart design.
