[Comment] Retraction and republication—Feeding dystonia, chorea, psychosis, and self-mutilation in an African patient with neuroacanthocytosis syndrome

The Lancet has discovered that our editorial policies prior to the publication of the Clinical Picture Feeding dystonia, chorea, psychosis, and self-mutilation in an African patient with neuroacanthocytosis syndrome, published on Oct 25, 2024,1 were not properly followed, specifically regarding a conflict of interest. One author of the submitted work is the partner of an editor at the journal. This relationship was not disclosed and is a breach of our editorial policies. To ensure fairness to the authors, the original submission was reassigned to a different editor and reviewed by a new external peer reviewer.
