THE DETAILS The initiative is said to be the first cross-industry campaign to tackle beauty’s waste problem. The industry body is encouraging retailers, brands and professionals to get involved and register their interest.
THE WHY? According to The Courage to Change report, the beauty industry produces more than 120 billion units of packaging globally and some 70 percent of plastic waste is not recycled.
