Injectable mRNA Microplexes
In article 2403212, Youwen Liu, Yawei Du, Wenguo Cui, and co-workers introduce an injectable microplex system that combines IL-4 mRNA lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) with icariin prodrug-like microspheres to achieve in-situ regulation of monocytes for tissue regeneration. The prodruglike microspheres enable the sustained release of both icariin and LNPs, facilitating multi-phase remodeling of the osteoclastic microenvironment and effective monocyte engineering. This innovative injectable mRNA microplex system successfully addresses the challenges of bone defect repair caused by inflammation and excessive osteoclast activity.
