Aldi names new UK & Ireland chief financial officer
Aldi UK & Ireland has named Hayleigh Lupino as its new chief financial officer.

Aldi UK & Ireland has named Hayleigh Lupino as its new chief financial officer.
Lupino, who will take up the position with the discounter later this year, joins from pub group Marston’s where she worked for more than 20 years and most recently as its CFO.
Her appointment comes as Aldi is investing £650m this year in new store openings, upgrades to existing sites, and improvements to its distribution network and infrastructure.
The retailer’s UK and Ireland chief executive Giles Hurley said: “Hayleigh joins our national board as we deliver our £650m investment plan this year, opening new stores and further improving our operations to continue bringing great quality products at unbeatable prices to millions of households across the UK.
“Her extensive experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow and invest in Britain.”
The senior appointment follows news last week, revealed exclusively in Grocery Gazette, that the supermarket chain was to consult over proposals to restructure some head office teams, in a move that could see up to 350 jobs cut.
It is understood that the changes will affect some roles in the buying departments, including non-food, and finance, as well as some back-office functions.
