Aldi celebrates Random Acts of Kindness Day with £3,000 giveaway

Aldi is celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Day by giving customers the chance to win their food shop for free on 17 February.

Any shoppers visiting the discounter on 17 February could win their shopping for free, with £3,000 worth of Aldi vouchers to be won.

To enter, shoppers need to email a picture of their receipt to KindnessCompetition@Aldi.co.uk, with 30 customers to be chosen at random to each receive a £100 voucher in return.

Aldi communications director Richard Thornton said: “This Random Acts of Kindness Day, we want to give back to our customers by covering the cost of their weekly essentials.

“We’re dedicated to offering exceptional quality and value without compromise year-round, and we hope this giveaway will be a great surprise for our shoppers.”

Other retailers have celebrated Random Acts of Kindness Day too. Asda offered five free hot drinks to customers at random throughout the day during February 2022.

The supermarket’s café workers selected customers at random throughout the day as they passed through the tills and deducted the price of a hot drink from their order.

In 2024, Aldi also invited shoppers to nominate store colleagues who had made a positive difference to their day ahead of World Kindness Day on 13 November.

Staff members who received the most nominations went on to receive a spa break for two.
