Tala to open first-ever flagship on London’s Carnaby Street

Athleisure brand Tala is set to make its brick and mortar debut this year on London’s Carnaby Street.

The brand, founded by former fitness influencer Grace Beverley in 2019, will open the doors to its first-ever store in the Spring.

Sharing the news, Beverley said: “I think if I told 22-year-old Grace who was fed up with the activewear on the market, that she’d be opening a store on one of the most iconic shopping streets in the world, she would simply pass away, and to be honest 28 year old me is close to doing the same.”

“For us, having a store isn’t just about having another place to shop,” she continued.

“It’s like finally having a clubhouse for our community, where we can talk about how long we spend in design meetings debating over seams & gussets, where you can actually feel the difference in quality between a TALA black legging & a fast fashion dupe, where we can have amazing events and get closer with our community than ever before. (Plus I’m planning on moving in & living under the tills).

Tala has been gaining pace over the last couple of years and made its first foray into physical retail last year through a concession partnership with Selfridges.

The shop-in-shops stocked the brand’s bestselling collections, including DayFlex, Sculpt Seamless, Signature Sweats and 365 Sculpting Lounge.

At the start of the year, Tala named former Boden and Net-a-Porter executive Jon Wetherell as its new creative director to help drive its visuals and tone of voice.
