South Africa’s textile imports reached 6,247.1 million rand (~$355.00 million) in January 2025, up 33.1 per cent year-on-year. Exports rose 15.5 per cent to 1,335.0 million rand. Compared to December 2024, imports grew 33.6 per cent, while exports fell 28.9 per cent. In 2024, textile imports totalled 65,476.0 million rand, and exports increased 1.8 per cent to 23,578.8 million rand.
