Resistance Welding Delivers Precision and Control

To remain competitive, fabrication shops seek out solutions, for example, with servo-driven systems, which provide strategic advantages such as improved energy efficiency and a reduction in maintenance. Training opportunities further expand the solutions toolbox, where instructors can impart guidance based on years of experience.

Discover Unmatched Precision and Control with Servo-Driven Resistance Welders

In today’s manufacturing world, high-quality, data-driven traceability is essential. Adopting servo-driven systems in resistance welding is a strategic move for staying competitive, according to Taylor-Winfield Technologies Inc. (Youngstown, OH). Servo technology is key to modern resistance welding, offering precision, adaptability, and control.

Unlike traditional systems, servo-driven solutions provide precise, programmable control, reducing variability and enhancing quality. Key benefits include:

  • Precision Force Control – +/-3% over the lifetime of the actuator.
  • Programmabilty
  • Improved energy efficiency.
  • Enhanced process monitoring.
  • Reduced Maintenance – with proper preventative maintenance, these units will last 30 million cycles.
  • Optional Water Cooling for high production rate requirements.
  • Cost/energy savings over the use of continuous pneumatics.

Since 1882, Taylor-Winfield Technologies has been a pioneer in the manufacturing industry, consistently spearheading innovation by developing advanced solutions for metal joining applications worldwide. Its unwavering commitment to quality and a customer-centric approach ensures the company delivers innovative, precise, efficient, and long-lasting resistance welding machines and systems. Additionally, the company offers onsite operator training, field service, and aftermarket spare parts as part of its comprehensive “life support” services, ensuring customers’ machines remain in optimal condition for decades to come.

T.J. Snow, resistance welding training2025 Resistance Welding Training Dates and Locations
  1. J. Snow Co. (Chattanooga, TN) announces the return of its popular regional Resistance Welding Seminars. Held throughout the United States for more than 20 years, T.J. Snow’s regional seminars have consistently received high marks from attendees.
  2. J. Snow’s interactive and informative seminars are taught by instructors who are all recognized by the American Welding Society as Certified Resistance Welding Technicians. To illustrate points and enhance the learning experience, Snow instructors often tell “war stories” based on their years of experience as professional resistance welding service technicians.

Seminar attendees will become familiar with the various types of resistance welding machines, plus pneumatic systems, weld control operation, basic welder set up, electrode selection, maintenance, operator safety and more. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions during the training program.

One seminar attendee writes of his experience, “As a young engineer, it was incredibly valuable to be able to take a one-day training class and immediately be able to understand what is happening with our resistance welding machines.”

2025 Resistance Welding Seminar Dates and Locations:

  • April 16 – Lansing, Mich.
  • June 4-5 – Bowling Green, Ky. (Two-day training with hands-on weld lab)
  • August 13 – Chicago, Ill.

Registration is now open for all 2025 dates.
