Today has unofficially become Toyota Celica Day at TTAC, as it looks like the nameplate may be coming back . The question is, what kind of car should it be?

Looking at Toyota's portfolio, the brand seems to have the sports-car niches fairly well covered. You have the expensive-ish two-seat Supra on the high end, and the GR86 is an affordable small sportster. There's also the GR Corolla hot hatch.
So where would a new Celica fit?
I could see it being a slightly larger companion to the GR86 -- the GR is a great handler but lacks rear-seat space. Perhaps the Celica could be more powerful with a more-usable rear seat? Maybe it will be a hatchback?
The rumor mill seems to suggest it will be in that ballpark.
What say you?
