QOTD: Do We Need More Wagons?

The Mercedes/AMG E53 wagon Chris reported on earlier has me intrigued.

Then again, I might be the only person in the world who misses the Jaguar XF Sportbrake.

What can I say -- I generally like modern, sporty wagons.

"Modern" and "sporty" are key words here, I grew up in the '80s and '90s, and as I am sure you know, station wagons were deeply uncool and unpopular then. The passage of time has not changed that.

But there have been a few fun wagons on sale 'lo these past 25 years. I miss that kind of wagon. I'd wager you do, too.

So, does the world need more of those? Perhaps as the cure for the crossover craze?
