The show, set against the backdrop of the Cour Carrée du Louvre, was staged with a circular, archival-inspired set by Wonderwall, showcasing a symbiotic narrative between the past and the future through twenty-four vitrines filled with historical pieces from Louis Vuitton, Pharrell, and NIGO themselves, alongside private collectors.

Pharrell and NIGO, with roots deeply embedded in streetwear since their 2003 meeting, have consistently pushed the boundaries of fashion, from their shared ventures like Billionaire Boys Club to individual successes. This collection reflects their journey, merging streetwear’s casual allure with the dandy elegance Louis Vuitton is known for. Silhouettes echo the early 2000s but are reimagined for future fashionistas, featuring workwear, sportswear, and tailoring in a harmonious blend.
Japanese motifs and techniques are central to this collection, with the Dandy Monogram and Damier patterns reimagined through traditional Japanese methods like shippo weaving and kasuri. The collection’s palette brightens with the pink of cherry blossoms, integrating natural patterns in camouflage designs, showcasing a rich tapestry of flora and fauna motifs across various pieces.

The show introduced new bag motifs under the “Phriendship” banner, celebrating their collaboration. From the Damier Phriendship bags to the Damier Scribbles, each piece tells a story of shared history and creative camaraderie. Japan-inspired bags in vibrant yuzu yellow, sencha green, and sakura pink also made an appearance, alongside unique pieces like the Boro Landscape and Monogram Landscape Canvas bags, paying homage to Japanese art and craftsmanship.
Trunks, a symbol of Louis Vuitton’s heritage, were reinterpreted by Japanese artist Azuma Makoto, who encapsulated real flowers within transparent acrylic, creating a dialogue between the ephemeral and the eternal. Footwear and accessories further personalized the collection with LV ButterSoft sneakers and LV FROG sunglasses, highlighting the playful yet sophisticated nature of the collaboration.

The soundtrack, featuring original tracks by Pharrell alongside iconic themes, set the mood for a show that was as much about sound as it was about sight, encapsulating a narrative where music, fashion, and friendship converge to shape the future of style. This collection not only looks back at the rich history of both Pharrell and NIGO but also casts a forward gaze, inviting a new generation to become part of the LVERS community, where creativity, heritage, and innovation intersect.
