Nigeria sets up Sector Skills Council to revive textile industry
Nigeria recently launched the Sector Skills Council for fashion, leather work and accessories as part of its sectoral approach to skills acquisition for national development. The council’s aim is to revive the domestic textile industry amid high levels of imports and make it viable, Idris Bugaje executive secretary of the National Board for Technical Education, said at the launch event in Abuja.
