Julie Nollet, managing director of Moët Hennessy for the UK and Ireland, has joined the WSTA as a new board member, it was revealed today.

Born in France, and raised in the UK, Nollet has held a variety of different positions on both sides of the channel, giving her insight into trade on both countries and brings leadership expertise and valuable knowledge from her commercial and marketing roles.
She became managing director of Moët Hennessy in July 24, having held the position of chief marketing officer at Hennessy, based in France, for nearly four years. She joined the company as international communications director of the LVMH group in 2010, and subsequently worked as marketing and communications direct Moët Hennessy UK and commercial and marketing director Moët Hennessy Europe. Prior to joining LVMH, she worked at EMI Music and Sony Music Entertainment in Paris.
Mark Riley, chair of the WSTA Board, said that her presence at the board table would help the WSTA’s ongoing efforts to represent the broad WSTA membership including global brands, SME’s, producers and retailers.
“The industry is
facing another challenging year with so many unknowns for businesses to charter," he said. "Our primary focus is to ensure that the WSTA works closely with Government to help them understand how to support trade better and create a landscape that allows businesses to grow."
The WSTA's chief executive Miles Beale added that Nollet was extremely highly regarded in the global drinks trade with a wealth of knowledge in diverse leadership, commercial and marketing roles.
"LVMH's international reach in an era of global challenges for the industry will be hugely beneficial," he said. "Julie’s expertise in both wines and spirits, garnered from a range positions held within Moët Hennessy, will mean she will bring great counsel to the executive board and WSTA team.”
