Meghalaya’s textiles dept wins sustainability award at Bharat Tex 2025
Meghalaya’s Department of Textiles, received a special award at the CITI Textiles Sustainability Awards 2024-25 during Bharat Tex 2025. Recognised for textile heritage revival, the state has led initiatives like Umden-Diwon Eri Silk Village, the Ryndia brand, and the Design Innovation Research Centre. Meghalaya’s indigenous weaves have gained national and global recognition.
