Mango Home to open first standalone store this year

Mango is set to open the doors to its first standalone Home store in Barcelona later on this year.

Set to launch in April, the Spanish fashion retailer’s new homewares shop at 586 Avenida Diagonal will feature nearly 400sq m of retail space.

The business said the opening represents a significant milestone in Mango Home’s growth strategy.

Since its debut in 2021, the brand has more than doubled in size and now operates in 34 online markets, primarily across Europe and the US. While last year, it extended the home range to cover decoration and homeware categories.

Mango Home director Nuria Font said: “This opening is a key step forward in the evolution of Mango Home. We want our customers to enjoy the experience of designing their home and to appreciate the quality of our products, which reflect their style and personality.

“This space is designed to inspire and to consolidate our vision of the home, with a differentiated offer based on design, quality and sustainability.”

Last year, Mango Teen made its debut in the UK, off Carnaby Street in London as the Spanish fashion giant began ramping up its wider expansion plans for the format.

While earlier this month, the retailer unveiled plans to open 20 new stores across the UK this year as it looks to grow its presence to over 90 locations.

The move is part of its strategic growth plan for 2024-2026, which aims to drive sales through a major expansion of its physical stores and a broader growth across all channels.

Among the planned openings are six stores in London, including a new flagship on Oxford Street and locations on Kensington High Street and Long Acre, Covent Garden.
