John Lewis poaches Net-a-Porter boss as new CCO
John Lewis has hired ex Net-a-Porter managing director Vikki Kavanagh as its new chief commercial officer.

John Lewis has hired Net-a-Porter managing director Vikki Kavanagh as its new chief commercial officer.
Kavanagh, who will join the retailer in April, will take over from Kathleen Mitchell and report to executive director Peter Ruis.
The new CCO previously held senior buying and merchandising roles at Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser, Fenwick, Very Exclusive and The Outnet.
Ruis said: “Vikki’s extensive experience and proven leadership in the retail sector make her an invaluable addition to our team.
“Her strategic vision and commercial acumen will be instrumental as we continue to evolve and enhance our customer offering.”
Kavanagh added: “I’m incredibly excited and proud to be joining John Lewis, which is a brand I’ve admired for many years.
“John Lewis has a unique opportunity to redefine the UK omnichannel retail experience and I’m looking forward to working with the team to deliver an exceptional offer for our customers.”
News of Kavanagh’s appointment comes after Mitchell announced she was leaving the partnership-owned retailer after three years yesterday (6 February).
Her departure follows the exit of customer director Charlotte Lock, who stepped down last month.
Lock, who joined John Lewis in March 2022, helped to spearhead its three-part Christmas campaign last year as it built on the momentum following the return of its Never Knowingly Undersold price promise.
