Kering Appoints Luca de Meo as Incoming CEO, Marking Governance Shift

THE DETAILS De Meo’s appointment was approved by Kering’s Board of Directors and is part of a broader governance overhaul initiated by current CEO and Chairman François-Henri Pinault. The move will formally separate the roles of CEO and Chairman, aligning the luxury group’s leadership structure with standard practices for large publicly listed companies.

Subject to shareholder approval, de Meo will take office on September 15, 2025. Pinault will remain Chairman of the Board. De Meo, currently CEO of Renault Group, brings over 30 years of experience in international business leadership, having previously held executive roles at Fiat, Volkswagen Group, and Audi.
