Ion Migration in Mesoscopic Perovskite Solar Cells: Effects on Electroluminescence, Open Circuit Voltage, and Photovoltaic Quantum Efficiency (Adv. Energy Mater. 5/2025)

Perovskite Solar Cells

Ion migration in perovskite solar cells causes performance changes as they redistribute to screen the electric field. External Quantum Efficiency (EQE) measurements show how mobile ion-induced current losses depend on illumination wavelength. The differences in EQE spectra, as probed by measuring at low temperature under varied preconditioning voltages, reveal how the internal energy landscape is shaped by the ionic distribution.
