Introducing The Sixth Chapter Of Gucci Changemakers

Gucci has officially opened applications for the sixth chapter of their impactful Gucci Changemakers North America initiative. The initiative includes the Impact Fund, Scholarship Program, and Creative Fellowship – each of these programs has been created to support talented students and non-profit organizations and uplift them through a creative platform. The newest chapter is titled “Manifesting Visions of Tomorrow,” and each awardee will be individuals and organizations working towards their future in the arts and culture.

The launch of the new chapter has arrived alongside a short film directed by Anthony Prince that celebrates the initiatives. The film features Gucci Changemakers Scholars Miles Richards and D’on Lauren Edwards and Impact Fund recipient Custom Collaborative Ngozi Okaro. The film emphasizes the story of humanity’s interconnectedness and the power these changemakers have to make a lasting difference within their communities. Since 2019, Gucci Changemakers North America Impact Fund has supported 67 non-profit organizations, impacting the lives of over 880,000 community members, in addition to providing funding to 74 talented students. Gucci’s support has resulted in over $7M in funding since its inauguration. 

This year’s recipients of the 2024 Impact Fund serve as a testament to the program’s success, representing a diverse group of organizations, such as people with disabilities, using STEM concepts to empower girls of color through dance and providing art therapy to LGBTQ+ youth. The recipients include Art Reach in Philadelphia, PA, Black Design Collective in Los Angeles, CA, Radical Partners in Miami, FL, and more. Lastly, the 2024 Gucci Changemakers Creative Fellows cohort was announced at last year’s CultureCon even,t and the recipients are Celeste Nicole, Keith Herron, Yetunde Sapp, and Zahri Josita Jackson. Each fellow received a grant and membership to launch an independent creative project.
