The Elton John AIDS Foundation, one of the leading independent AIDS organizations in the world, hosted its 33rd Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday, March 2 at West Hollywood Park. The e.l.f. Cosmetics-sponsored event featured an electrifying performance from Grammy-Award winning Chappell Roan, and raised over $8.6 million in support of the Foundation’s mission to end AIDS.

Elton John co-hosted the event alongside Elton John AIDS Foundation Chair David Furnish, Golden Globe and EMMY Award-winning actress Jean Smart, EMMY Award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, EMMY Award and Tony Award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris, and Award-winning actor, author, and chef David Burtka.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party welcomed over 1,000 attendees including top Hollywood actors, musicians, fashion designers, philanthropists, athletes and more. Chappell Roan brought the crowd to their feet performing her hit song “HOT TO GO!” and a special rendition of Elton John’s iconic “Your Song.” The Midwest Princess was joined on stage by Elton for a spellbinding duet of “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,” before paying an emotional tribute to her friend and mentor, stating: “You have sacrificed so much for the queer community and made it so I can be the artist I can be.” To close the set, Chappell crowned Elton with a pink cowboy hat before rocking the stage with a dazzling duet of  “Pink Pony Club.”

Uniting stars and advocates on Hollywood’s biggest night of the year since 1992, the annual Academy Awards Viewing Party has supported the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s efforts to raise over $123 million for their life saving work towards their mission of ending AIDS and the stigma associated with it for everyone, everywhere.

A star-studded host committee, Academy Awards nominees and presenters, along with some of the most powerful industry influencers came together on March 1, 2025, for MPTF’s 23rd Annual ‘Night Before’ benefit. Co-chaired by Demi Moore, Colman Domingo, and Cynthia Erivo, the annual event raised close to $4 million.

Domingo noted, “MPTF has been there for our community for over 100 years and this celebration is a great way to come together in the spirit of taking care of our own.”

Funds raised will help MPTF continue to provide essential support and services to working and retired entertainment industry members in response to the many needs associated with the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. Crew members and their families who survive in a job-by-job economy can struggle with basic needs like rent, mortgage and house payments, medical bills, and groceries even in the best of times, which is where MPTF’s emergency financial services and dedicated social services team are vital to provide a lifeline to those who need it.

Darren Dzienciol‘s annual OSCAR EVE party presented by Utopia took place on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at the iconic Sheats-Goldstein Residence to benefit Global Empowerment Mission LA Wildfire Relief Efforts, powered by Mood Casino and Vivienne Sabo Paris.

Darren’s annual pre-Oscar party celebration was held at the legendary Sheats-Goldstein Residence in Beverly Hills, which was transformed into a glamourous Oscar-themed ambiance, bringing out top level talent, industry notables models and music artists for a night of celebration in honor of the Academy Awards. The highly coveted black tie affair was a night of glamour, music, dancing and top level DJ performances, in a gorgeous, all white, elegant, candlelit flooded setting at the iconic Goldstein estate. The party took place in the exclusive “Club James” nightclub space as well as poolside, taking over the sprawling estate grounds.

The Global Empowerment Mission is a 501(c)3 dedicated to supporting disaster relief globally, with Darren’s Oscars event specifically focused on supporting their LA Wildfire Relief efforts.

On March 2, 2025,the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures hosted the Official Oscars Watch Party. Guests experienced Hollywood’s biggest night as they celebrated this year’s nominated films and walked the museum’s red carpet.

The event is the culminating moment of Oscars Season at the Museum, which runs through March 30. The Oscars Season slate of programming invites visitors to experience Oscar-winning film screenings , in-gallery tours, public programs , Nominee Spotlights, and exclusive store merchandise. Winning film screenings begin March 8 and tickets can be purchased here.

Throughout the evening, attendees posed for photo activations on the Walt Disney Company Piazza, had an opportunity to shop for exclusive merchandise at the Academy Museum Store, enjoyed hors d’oeuvres by Wolfgang Puck Catering, and Champagne from Champagne Lallier, which began its inaugural year as the exclusive Champagne of the Oscars, toasting cinematic excellence.
