India’s LEI drops in January, CEI rebounds with strong growth: TCB
India's LEI fell by 0.3 per cent in January 2025 to 158.5, reversing December’s 0.2 per cent gain. Growth over six months slowed to 0.1 per cent from 1.7 per cent. Meanwhile, the CEI surged 5.2 per cent, recovering December’s 4.4 per cent drop but showing a 4.6 per cent decline over six months. India's GDP growth is forecast to slow from 6.4 per cent in 2024 to 6.0 per cent in 2025.
