Haute Living Celebrates Jackie Chan At The Gallery By Odo In New York City

Haute Living and Haute Jets hosted an exclusive dinner on May 25 at The Gallery by Odo in honor of legendary actor and stuntman Jackie Chan in celebration of his Haute Living Los Angeles May/June 2025 cover and upcoming movie, “The Karate Kid: Legends” opening in theaters May 30.

The special evening brought together an elite group of guests for a refined culinary experience led by Executive Chef Hiroki Odo including Jessica Chen, Vania Toledo Munoz, Alix Romec, Francois Loren, and Nichole Levy alongside Laura Schreffler, Editor-in-Chief of Haute Media Group, April Donelson, Senior Vice President of Haute Media Group, and more.

Known for his Michelin-starred precision and modern kaiseki approach, Chef Odo presented a sophisticated four-course menu highlighting premium seasonal ingredients and Japanese technique.

The evening opened with a composed plate of summer vegetables, tomato dashi gelée, seared bluefin tuna, osetra caviar, and microgreens. The second course featured an elegant selection of panko-fried skewers. For the main course, guests were served a US Wagyu steak burger and fries, A5 Wagyu udon prepared tableside, and a signature chirashi sushi. The final course showcased Japan’s housemade milk ice cream paired with rare Shizuoka Crown melon.

A bespoke cocktail pairing completed the culinary experience with innovative creations including the “Essence of Japan – Spring Stroll” made with Brooklyn Kura Greenwood Kimoto Sake with ginger syrup, yuzu, and sudachi juice along with the “Essence of China – Lychee Spritz” infused with a balanced Roku Gin, lychee syrup, lime juice, and oolong sparkling tea.

During the dinner, guests enjoyed a guided tasting of Louis XIII Cognac by Rémy Martin led by Vania Toledo Munoz where they delighted in flavor notes of candied figs, raisins, and nuts juxtaposed against spicy notes of cinnamon and ginger.
