Freemans appoints former N Brown exec as CCO
Freemans has hired former N Brown director Paul Horsfield as its new chief commercial officer.

Online and catalogue retailer Freemans has hired former N Brown director Paul Horsfield as its new chief commercial officer.
Horsfield previously served as N Brown director of group transformation, after joining the company as its director of group trading and merchandising in 2019. Prior to this he worked as merchandising director at Boohoo group, and spent more than ten years in various roles at online retailer Shop Direct.
Horsfield currently works as non executive director and company director of private tutor Flourish Tutoring on a part time basis.
Under Freeman’s newly created position, the executive will lead the company’s marketing and sales, including media, ecommerce, customer relations, creative and data.
Posting on LinkedIn, Horsfield said: “I’m delighted to share that I’m starting a new position as chief commercial officer at FGH Freemans Grattan Holdings – part of the Otto Group.
“I’m really looking forward to supporting and driving the business in it’s ambitious growth plans and profitable market share gain.”
The appointment comes after N Brown recently underwent a £191m takeover by its founding family.
The online retailer was acquired by Joshua Alliance, the brand’s non-executive director and fourth-largest shareholder.
The brand also appointed its first chief customer operations officer earlier this month, promoting Clare Empson to the newly created role.
Empson will oversee the customer journey and experience at the Simply Be and Jacamo owner, including supply chain, customer service and customer insight.
